Rob and I knew of eachother long before we actually met. We were properly introduced to eachother in June of 2000 and started dating not long after that first meeting. Only a few months after meeting, Rob travelled the 5 hour drive to attend my mom's wedding with me. We rented a vehicle and this was truely our first and may I add the only trip away that we have ever been on together.
In February of 2003 we moved into together into our small but "cozy" appartment and almost 6 months later our son Tyler was born. I believe this was the first test of our love for eachother. Tyler was born 5 and a half weeks early and the constant worry and travelling the hour away to see him every day was stressfull, as well as the realization that we were parents and somebody would depend on us day in and day out.
Rob proposed to me on Christmas Eve of 2004. After a long game of playing cards with Rob's mom, he was going to let me open a present but only one and I could chose anything from under the tree. I went downstairs and picked out a fairly large one and brought it back upstairs alond with one for him to open from me (of course it was the smallest one). He took the present that I wanted to open away from me and told me he had already chosen something else out for me to open. He brought out the ring box and I thought I was going to faint. I asked him if it was what I thought it was and he said yes. I was shocked, dumbfounded! I couldn't stop shaking and was to shocked to cry. I didn't think he would ever ask me. It wasn't until we were laying in bed late that night that Rob realized that he hadn't actually asked me to marry him so it was then that he actually asked me the question.
We have been trying to find a house to buy for the past two year. We are hoping that this is the year we will find what we want in a house.
